Minutes for DAV Chapter 200 meeting held January 15, 2009 at Oneonta Vet’s Club.
Cmdr. Keidel called the meeting to order at 7:15 pm.
Officers present were Cmdr. Keidel and Adjutant Thompson.
Sr. Vice Cmdr. Donnelly was absent. Jr. Vice Cmdr. Hopper, Treasurer Henricksen and Chaplain Coates were
excused. Service Officer Payne is in Florida for the Winter.
Four members were present.
Henry Carrere was a guest and spoke about a device he has found to help him and wanted to share the
information with other persons that might find it useful.
He demonstrated a "flip stick" which is a combination walking cane and one legged resting seat. Henri does not sell
or make any thing on this product.

Other visitors were Mrs. Ronnie O’Connor and Mrs. Carolyn Palombo.
Laura Thompson served coffee and refreshments.
Due to the lack of a quorum no business was conducted.
Bills against the chapter were presented to be approved later. Ernest Thompson (3) Ernst Keidel (1).
Jerry Shannon was reported home and recovering from a broken ankle.
Department of New York reported we need 4 more life members to reach our goal of 287.
Communications were read and placed out for anyone to see.
Adjutant Thompson reported that Roger DeChiara donated 12 small blankets to be carried in the DAV van for
emergencies. Adjutant Thompson purchased a plastic container to store the blankets in.
The train set donated by Henri Carrere has been given to the Michael Graml family of Richfield Springs as a
Christmas gift from the chapter.
Unfinished business: We still have the 1996 DAV Van and are waiting for NYS to issue a title.
New business: Those present were reminded that the March meeting will be nominations for next years Chapter
Officers. Get your candidates in mind.
We discussed activities for the coming year. A possible bus trip and a flea market- yard sale type day at the Vet’s
Club. Give me your ideas. It’s your organization let’s keep it going.
Good of the Order was $7.00.
A memorial service for departed Comrades was held at 8:00pm.
Meeting adjourned at 8:05pm.
