Our regular January meeting was worse than the one in December!
Present:
The Commander
The Adjutant
The Treasurer
And lest you think that this is three members, be reminded that Ernie Thompson
holds the posts of Adjutant and Treasurer, so there were only two members
attending, under the watchful eye of Laura, Ernie's wife, who set up the coffee,
milk and doughnuts refreshment.
If the members won't attend the meetings and conduct business, I forsee a dire
future for this Chapter!
Don't forget the mission we fulfill: the daily transport of veteran patients from the
Sidney Hospital to the Stratton VA Hospital in Albany!
Many of us have used this assett and also continue to do so.
Don't let this Chapter dry up and blow away!
I like Ernie a lot, but spending our monthly meeting time just sitting and chatting
with one another is a total waste of manpower and gas money!
Don't use the excuse of bad weather. Had it really been bad, these last two times,
I would have cancelled those meetings. Both Ernie and I have substantial distances
from our homes to Oneonta; many of you live a lot closer!
I am looking forwrd to seeing many of you at February's meeting:
1900 Hours, 21 February 2008 at the usual place!
Grumpy Ernst Keidel
Commander
