Minutes for DAV Chapter 200 meeting of July 19, 2007 held at Oneonta Vet’s Club.
Meeting was called to order at 7:05pm in proper manner with opening prayer and pledge of allegiance.
This was the first meeting chaired by Ernst Keidel as Chapter Cmdr.
Officers present: Cmdr. Keidel, Jr. Vice Hopper, Chaplain & Service Officer Payne and Tres.
Thompson. Sr. Vice Donnelly was absent.
No visitors
The June minutes were corrected to show that Grumpy Keidel had met Anita Thomas on line. A motion
by Norm, 2nd by Pete to accept the minutes was approved.
A motion by Norm, 2nd by Pete to accept the June treasurers report was passed.
Bills presented by Adjutant Thompson for envelopes ( $20.23) used in chapter business and by Laura
Thompson for donuts ($13.98) served at the June chapter meeting were approved.
No sickness or distress was reported.
Under Membership it was reported that DAV 200 life member Kelly Bryant is serving in Bagdad, Iraq.
The birthday cards sent to John Ford, Gary Moore, Peter Bowes were returned. Any one knowing an
address for any of these members please contact your adjutant.
Communications were read and placed out for all to see.
NSO William Gibney will be at the Oneonta Vet’s Club, 279 Chestnut St. Oneonta on August 23
to answer questions and file claims. Bring your paper work.
New business: The next Forget-Me-Not drive was discussed and should cover Wal-Mart & Oneonta
Southside Mall. We will need help. It’s not a hard job. It can be very interesting to meet other
members and the general public.
A motion by Norm, 2nd by Tony to pay Grumpy $8.95 per month for the Chapter website ( dav200.
org ) was approved. This payment does not need monthly approval.
Good of the Order donations were $22.00.
Memorial service to departed comrades was held at $8:00 pm.
Adjournment was at 8:10pm.
